MS Koningsdam is Holland America Line’s current flagship. She is the first of two Pinnacle-class ships with the most luxurious features the cruise line has to offer. Built with a heavy musical influence, her internal architecture, decoration and layout is conceived from the design of different musical instruments. Additionally, the ship has several music-themed venues, including The Lincoln Centre for live string music events and B.B. King Blues Club for Memphis-style music.
The ship does carry over many hallmark features from the cruise line though, such as the traditional two-tiered restaurant, but it also takes some features from sister-brand Cunard Line – such as The Queen’s Lounge which is modelled after the Queen’s Room on Queen Victoria which will serve afternoon tea daily and offers one of the largest dance floors at sea.
