MS Noordam is a Vista-class ship, a popular choice for many Carnival brands due to her Panamax dimensions (the maximum dimensions until June 2016 that would fit through the Panama Canal)
She is the fourth ship in her class and primarily operates out of Vancouver in the summer – performing roundtrip Alaskan cruises. In the winter she moves to Australia and home-ports in Sydney whilst operating roundtrip cruises to the Fiji Islands and New Zealand.
Like other Holland America Line ships she contains beautiful Dutch artwork and sculptures. The main piece aboard her is a remarkable inlaid chest flanked by carved wooden 17th-century Baroque columns. Made in Germany in 1885, the chest is inlaid with ebony and precious stones.
