Sailing on-board the Adonia is an intimate and friendly cruising experience, typically she sails with just 710 (approx.) passengers, making Adonia the smallest of the seven ships in the current P&O Cruises fleet.
Adonia comes packed full of the charm and characteristics of small ship cruising, she is a real pathfinder ship and able to dock into smaller ports that her larger counterparts cannot access. On the outside Adonia appears to be every bit of a 21st Century vessel, sleek and angular with every inch of space used for purpose. However, on the inside Adonia oozes the classical and traditional cruising-style of the 1920’s and 30’s with dark-wood and wrought iron finishes, decorative hanging artworks, grand stair-casing and an exquisite library designed in an old fashioned Regency style.
Almost every stateroom comes with a balcony, staterooms may seem compact and bijou at first, but cruising isn’t about sitting in your room for the entire journey.
Dining is as elegant as ever, this is an adults-only ship after all. Expect a six-course silver service in the main restaurant, The Pacific Dining Room. More casual dining experiences can be found in the many specialist restaurants, an Italian menu is served in Sorrento’s fine dining restaurant and for something al-fresco you’ll be disappointed not to try something from the Ocean Grill.
A voyage on Adonia would not be complete without a trip to the Crow’s Nest Lounge, be sure to take your camera, from this vantage point you’ll experience some of the best views from the ship whilst sipping a cocktail or a chilled beer. The Crow’s Nest Lounge has its own dance floor so be sure to come back in the evening and pirouette the night away.
Adonia comes with all the fitness equipment you’ll need to stay trim on your voyage, an adequate running track and pool area, visit The Oasis Spa to use gym equipment, and afterwards ease your muscles with a soothing hot-tub.
